As the holiday season approaches, particularly after the year we’ve all had, the continuous adjustments and also if you have been working hard on marketing your book for holiday sales … you need a break!
Here are some thoughts on a few ways to hopefully help you to refresh:
1 – Designate a mini-unplug period ~ Dedicate a weekend, a day an evening to shut down and not look at your screens. Read a printed book, take a walk, or call someone you haven’t talked to in a while.
2 – De-clutter your space ~ Pick a room, your office, bedroom, kitchen, etc. Put away or dispose of any papers that are hanging about. Search out things that you haven’t been using and discard to donate them. A cleared space helps promote a clear mind (at least with all the people here that we surveyed-:)
3 – Re-evaluate your goals ~ Now is the time to think about the goals you set at the beginning of the year. Do they still resonate with you? What has changed? How do you want to see your life looking forward? What’s different? How can you make changes (after the holidays) to get headed on the path to the optimum life that would like for yourself? And, start now (don’t wait until you are exhausted in January) – What will you do differently in December to be true to that life?
Get ready for December…0
