Before we get started with ways to help improve your website so visitors hopefully stay and surf around, make sure you’ve covered the basics to help keep your site safe – see our article on Is your site safe for visitors?
4 simple ways to make your site more appealing:
Increase your white space
Give your visitors a chance to rest their eyes and info intake! Packing as much content as you can onto every page increases the pressure on your visitor, to decide what they should look at, decipher what is there – too much and they’ll leave. Try breaking your content into headlines, blocks with bullets, and images so users can see at quick glance what might tweak their interest.
Make navigation simple
Only include the most important pages that will meet visitor’s needs! You’ve researched your audience and fine-tuned your product (book) message so it indicates this is something that people are looking for and must buy, now. Use your website menu to help them easily get information on (generate a ‘need for them to buy’), and purchase your product.
Use high-quality images
A picture is worth a thousand words. Ensure you include crisp, quality and inviting images for your product (book) and let people have different views (look inside the book). Make sure Ads showcase actual product and are also top-notch.
Credible reviews mean trust and a higher conversion rate. Impactful testimonials mean that people are much more likely to purchase from you. However, visitors might be suspect of website reviews that you post. So back these up with social media reviews or such as Amazon reviews that other post and/or are validated as actual purchases. Put links to these on your website comments page, if you can, e.g., authors can link to their author page on such as Amazon.
